Course Objectives: 

By learning local government legislation, it is aimed to provide infrastructure for occupational life and to provide comparison with EU acquis.

Course Content: 

In this course, primarily, the basic principles and concepts of central government and local government, deconcentration, autonomy, administrative tutelage and democratic local government will be examined. In addition to these, income and task distrubution between the central government and local government will be discussed. Also the agency, tasks, budget and personnel of Special Provincial Administrations, Municipalities/Metropolitan Municipalities and Villages and the practice in Turkey will be observed. In conjuction with the legislation, the resolution process, organizational forms of local government will be evaluated.
