Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to develop a basic understanding of the main functions of financial markets and institutions.
Course Content:
The course begins with an introduction to interest rates which rank among the most crucial variables in macroeconomics as well as in the practical world of finance. Changes in interest rates have important implications for a multitude of phenomena including the prices of key financial assets as stocks, bonds and foreign currencies. The second part covers the financial markets and the assets that are traded on these markets. The third part of the course will explain how financial institutions function in the Turkish Finance Sector
