Seçmeli Ders

The aim of the course is to introduce the history and theory of imageology and to focus on ‘the image’: The focus is on how the ‘image of the other’ (defined by nationality, ethnicity, race or gender) comes into being and is changed, which media bring this about, when, how and to what purpose, who is it broadcast to and how it is adapted by the people. At the same time this course seeks to make a difference to the fixed views, prejudices and their effect upon human relations.
