Dersin Açıklaması
The fact that architecture is a commodity that can be produced, sold, and holds market value is a widely researched topic on a global scale, often overlooked in architectural education. This course aims to analyze the relationships between architectural theories and practices within the context of the ideologies influenced by the Modern period and Modernity. In this regard, it is designed to identify the theoretical and constructional relationships of architecture with current conjunctures within the framework of ideologies that developed after the Enlightenment Era. Consequently, approaches through which architecture positions itself will be examined, starting from the Industrial Revolution and late capitalism, and progressing through socialism, liberalism, conservatism, and neoliberalism.
