Course Content: 
This course includes analyzing and discussing popular culture and its role in our lives. Major theories and current debates on popular culture will be associated with different examples. There will also be looking closely evaluated in the wider context of popular culture produced in Turkey. The course will consist of lectures, screenings and discussions, and interaction will be made with examples of current films, television, commercials and new media.
