The aim of this course is to provide a general understanding of today's air transport environment and the functioning of the airline industry.

Course Content: 

Aviation History; International Aviation Bodies; History of IATA and Deregulation; Metrics and Definitions; Traffic Rights Air Service Agreements; Pools / SPAs / Codeshares; Alliances - Multinationals in the Air; Agency Distribution; Hub & Spoke - Product Planning/Scheduling; Fleet Planning; Settlement Mechanisms; Revenue / Yield Management; Customer Loyalty Programs; Networks versus Low Costs.
