Course Description
There is a dialectical relation between the old and the new, the past and the present. Therefore working on an old building is a complex problem of design for the architects and there are additional constraints imposed upon architects by the existence of a building that is to be treated with care and respect. From this point of view, varying concepts in conserving the historic buildings and incorporating new and old buildings in a common setting are introduced in this course.
