The course aims to investigate various theoretical approaches related to the colonial and postcolonial periods (Fanon, Said, Spivak, Bhaba etc) and to illustrate them with examples of texts from World Literature (Conrad, Kipling, Forster, Stoppard, Friel, Achebe, Coetzee, Césaire, Naipaul, Soyinka, Rhys, Lahiri, Rushdie etc)
