Course Description
Electric Power and Energy Systems were vertically integrated and generation-transmission-distribution was managed as monopoly since the beginning. Nowadays, vertical operation of electric power systems is replaced by horizontally structured systems where electrical energy is freely sold and bought as a commodity. The course, at the light of reregulation of electric power systems, covers special topics, and discusses scientific papers published on those topics. This course gives detailed information of new research areas to graduate students who are interested in Electric Power Systems.
