Deniz Tansi was born in 1971 in Istanbul. Tansi, after completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul, completed his undergraduate education in Journalism and Public Relations Department at Istanbul University Faculty of Communication in 1992 and his master's degree at Yeditepe University, Institute of Social Sciences, Public Relations and Publicity between 1997-1999. His master thesis title has "Public Relations Process in the Political Parties". Tansi graduated from Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Administration which is a Ph.D. program in 2003. Tansi's doctoral dissertation topic is The Effect of the Turkish Nationalism Discourse in the Written Press after September 12, 1980, on the Deputy General Elections.
Before starting academic life, Deniz Tansi worked as a deputy consultant in the Turkish Grand National Assembly between 1993-1994 and as a public relations manager in various private schools between 1994-1997. He has carried out his academic life at Yeditepe University Faculty of Communication between 1997-2005. Tansi received the title of research assistant in the Public Relations and Publicity Department at the said faculty between 1997-2001, as a lecturer in the Journalism Department of the same faculty in 2001, and as an Assistant Professor in the said department in February 2004. In January 2005, he was assigned to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration at the university he worked. M. Deniz Tansi served as the Head of the Public Administration Department from October 2007 to June 2009. In addition, he continued to serve as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, which he assumed at the same university in 2013.
Tansi has articles on "The Middle East", "Turkish Nationalism" and "Turkey-EU Relations" in various academic journals. Tansi was assigned as a member of the External Expert Group between 2007-2011 in the Strategic Research and Research Center (SRRC) unit of the General Staff, where he was at the advisory between 2004-2007. In addition to his duty at Yeditepe University, he has worked as a thesis advisor in the Department of International Relations at the Military Academies Strategic Research Institute (SRI) since the academic year of 2007-2008 and part-time teaching in the International Security Strategies master's program in Strategy and Strategic Sciences within the same institution served as a member. Simultaneously with her corporate position at Yeditepe University, Deniz Tansi still serves as an "Affiliated Faculty Member" in the Turkish Studies Center which is in Portland State University in the USA. In addition, he has served as a part-time lecturer at the Naval Academy since 2015 and he writes foreign policy articles in M5 Magazine and International Political Academy. His book has been titled Turkey-Israel Triangle was published in 2011 and after that in 2015, he has the editor and chapter writer of the book titled Current Trends in Turkish Foreign Policy. Assoc. Dr. Together with Ozan Örmeci, he has the General Coordinator of the International Political Academy and the Editor in Chief of UPA Strategic Affairs magazine.
Married and has a child Deniz Tansi speaks English fluently and he became an Associate Professor in 2021, and in April 2021, he was re-appointed as the Head of the Department of Public Administration at Yeditepe University.
