Prof. Gürbüz graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1952. In 1956, he completed his Ph.D. studies at Bordeaux University Faculty of Law with the dissertation titled "Du Parti Unique au Multipartisme en Turquie". He became Associate Professor in 1966 at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences and worked at METU as lecturer and Dean. In 1986, he acquired Professorship at Marmara University. Prof. Gürbüz, who also served as the founding president of the Marmara University Department of Public Administration (in French) and chair of the Center for Strategic Research, is currently the Head of the Yeditepe University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences-Department of International Relations (in French) and lecturing “International Law” courses at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law, where he also served as the founding Head of School.
