Course Objectives: 

The aim of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge of graphic design and technical application.

Course Content: 

In this course, students are informed about basic principles of web design, interaction design principles and user experiences. Students will be able to use web design formats (Adobe Dreamweaver or equivalent), web tags formats and features, html tags, workspace, tools, menus and panels, web project planning and diagramming, linking between pages, in-page ordered and unordered lists working, visual preparation and insertion in pixel based program for web, navigation design, menus and buttons, web colors and web typography, working with CSS, paragraph and title shaping with styles, creating background and frames, creating multi-column dynamic pages, using javascript, gain information about designing websites such as adding additions (pop-up windows, buttons etc.). Gain experience in designing and implementing websites.

3 Introduction to Dreamweaver program. Introduction of panels. Preparation of a web page with HTML.  
4 Establishing links between pages.  
5 Working with in-page links and ordered lists.  
6 Addition of F to the web pages. File formats and preparation steps with Photoshop.  
7 Creating a 4 page website using text and photos.  
8 Preparation of roll-over buttons. Designing the sample website.  
9 Midterm exam  
10 Introduction to CSS. Shaping paragraphs and headings with style files.  
11 Creating floors and frames with CSS.  
12 Button construction with CSS. Preparation of a sample site.  
13 Page layout studies with div tag and CSS
