The aim of this course is to examine the universal and regional organizations established by international treaties as persons of international law from a conceptual, theoretical, historical and contemporary perspective. In addition, this course aims to examine and comparatively understand the roles played by international organizations in the global system.
In this course, the classification of international organizations will be made, the law of international organizations will be covered and issues such as the UN system and regional organizations will be discussed in depth. First, the development and evolution of international organizations in the historical process will be discussed. Then, the effects and roles of international organizations on international relations will be discussed from different theoretical perspectives. In this context, the most important international organizations will be examined under thematic headings. Global organizations, regional organizations that emerged in Europe, regional security organizations and military alliances, political and economic organizations from various parts of the world will be discussed respectively.
