Course Objectives: 

The aim of this course is to provide students with the necessary explication about the relations bewteen Turkey and great powers in an historical and diplomatical manner from the 19th century to the contemporary era.

Course Content: 

In this course, the relations between great powers such as United Kingdom, France, Germany and Russia and the late Ottoman empire during the 19th century and the relations between Turkey and different great powers in the 20th century such as United States and USSR together with new rising powers after the end of the Cold War (China, Russia and Brasil) are studied.
