Aim of the Plastic Arts Master Program is to educate students as artists by training them through different disciplines according to the interdisciplinary properties of contemporary art. The appropriate environment is offered to help students comprehend theoretical and practical issues of different disciplines, enabling them to evaluate and create original works and concepts.

 

Vision Mission

The aim of the Master's Program of the Department of Plastic Arts is to educate students as artists who have the capacity to use different art fields in accordance with the interdisciplinary characteristics of today's art. The education given aims to develop students' artistic abilities while improving their ability to think and understand artistic concepts. In order to realize this aim; it prepares an environment for students to comprehend the theoretical and practical problems of different disciplines and to produce concepts and works by interpreting them with their own original approaches.   The department envisions that intellectual development in artistic creativity, the development of individual talents and the formation of a self-discipline in the direction of work are the basis of art education. In this context, the education program aims to develop self-discipline through intensive practical work while providing an environment of freedom to encourage the student's creativity and excitement by questioning artistic values through intellectual development. With its large workshops, contemporary education approach and exhibition opportunities, students are trained in a holistic art environment.    Students who graduate from the Master's Degree in Plastic Arts can work as independent artists, as well as educators, course directors, art consultants and exhibition organizers.
