Course Objectives: 

In this course, studies conducted in Turkish Science which contributes carrying the anthropological point of view and the development of the awareness of cultural variety, travel and observation notes will be examined.

Course Content: 

Writer’s works that contributes to settlement of the anthropological view and development of awareness of cultural variety with their studies, travel notes, and observations will be examined. The history of Turkish science is rich with these issues since ancient eras. In this sense, Orhun Monuments, the works of Kaşgarlı Mahmut, Biruni, Farabi and the chronics related to Turkish states’ and societies’ history and culture. Besides, development and formation of Turkish world in modern era and anthropology as a science will be mentioned through orginal sources.
