Course Objectives: 

Ensuring that dominate the historical development of local governments; In this way linking past and present is aimed at making a deduction.

Course Content: 

The examination of the Turkish local administrative structure at the present time and in the historical development process within the public administration constitutes the focus of the course. Topics to be covered are,

  • Major characteristics which dominate the organization and functioning of the Turkish local administration,
  • Analyze in details structures, functions and competences of the local authorities.
