In this course, how to design a staging with examples from various directors and the intellectual basis of staging will be studied. In this way, it is aimed that the students discuss the subject of directing and dramaturgy in various aspects, and gain knowledge and experience by making text and stage dramaturgy, interpreting the text, designing the director, preparing the directorial notebook in the determined contexts.
In this course, the student develops a suitable staging example and applies one or all of them, depending on the scope of the proposal. In the seminar, the innovative thoughts and directing practices of the important theater directors of the twentieth century for theater, actor performance and staging will be discussed, the development and intellectual foundations of the theater will be discussed from this point of view, so that students will be able to feed their own directorial designs qualitatively.
