Course Objectives: 

Main goal of the course is to study on the development of fantastic fiction in modern Turkish literature.

Course Content: 

In this course, the definition, evolution and extensions of fantastic novel as a literary genre will be studied; questions such as ‘what made fantastic literature possible’, what human need it meets’ will be addressed, and notions such as ‘fiction-fantasy’, ‘ordinary-extraordinary’ will be discussed in detail in light of philosophy, psychology and cognitive sciences.
