Course Objectives: 

Goal of the course is to state how poetry is formed and developed as a genre in modern Turkish literature and to do detailed researches on poetics and style issues.

Course Content: 

This course will address the poetic style of poets that shaped Turkish poetry with reference to the evolution of poetic genre in Modern Turkish Literature by taking into consideration its sources in the world literature along with the relevant works. Concepts such as poetica, style, studies on stylistics, and the masters of prominent styles will be considered in detail.
