Course Objectives: 

The aim of the course is to examine works of art which use new media technologies and are produced through cultural, politic and aesthetic possibilities provided that technological tools, and to contribute to production works of art and design creatively.

Course Content: 

New media art describes projects that make use of emerging media technologies and are concerned with the cultural, political, and aesthetic possibilities of these tools. New Media art refers to works such as interactive multimedia installations, virtual reality environments, and Web-based art that are made using digital technology. The course includes the study of the relationship between art and technology, the analysis of contemporary works of art, and also practices in new media art.
